Hi! I'm Lauryn
I often tell people that Sand + Salt was born backwards, because I had the name picked out before even knowing what kind of business it would be.
Growing up on Long Island, NY, I always loved the coastal towns full of cafés and boutique stores. I could spend hours with an iced coffee in hand, window shopping and watching boats pass by.
The name "Sand + Salt" came to me in January 2021 while living in San Clemente, California. I knew that I wanted my business to be directly inspired by the coastal lifestyle.
My husband took me to a craft store for my 25th birthday, which is where I immediately fell in love with making jewelry. My first ever designs were very clumsily made wire wrapped rings.
Between multiple moves and lots of research into techniques, materials, & manufacturers, Sand + Salt didn't really take flight until 2023, and finally launched its first collection in February 2024.
While the road has been long, it's one I'm incredibly eager to continue journeying down.
I currently live in Boston and in my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my husband & our pup, tending to my houseplants, playing Stardew Valley, and enjoying the outdoors.
